7/09/22 The Mythic Auction Returns!
Well, it's been a long year plus, and we sure have gotten a lot done while we were crammed into our abodes, However, we need to clear out the things we haven't gotten to, fell out of interest in, or just plain have buyers remorse for!
So sign up, write out some tags and bring in those models, sprues, toys and other pop culture, hobby or gaming items and get something back for them!
How it works
Sign up by buying a ticket, whether you're a buyer or seller. This will make things easier and faster than doing all the writeup the day of the auction. You will receive a participant number in your e-mail that you have bought the ticket(s) from, as well as a PDF of some auction tags you must print and put onto your lots. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. If lots are prepared before the auction, it will save time for sellers and potential buyers.
There is a hard limit of 25 lots per participant: a "lot" can be anything from a single model to an entire army. Each tag is considered one "lot."
On the day of, we will be opening at 9am to allow you to display your lots and do any pre-auction perusing. Please check in with the staff when you arrive to confirm you have a bidder number, or if you need one.
ProTip: Make a list of the things you are selling beforehand and write the amount they go for as they sell to double check at cash out.
Buy It Now:
The 9-10am time is also the Buy It Now time, where you can purchase things for their Buy It Now price on the tag. However, before anything is bought, if anyone else has interest in it for the price of the Buy It Now, it will need to go up to the auction block for fairness of the seller.
ProTip: Buy It Now prices should be higher than the minimum bid, unless you're some kinda Madboy.
Auction
Each item will be auctioned off as received by either audience or a runner. We will auction off as much as we can in the time allotted, so if you KNOW you want to bid on something, please bring it up to the queue of things on the runner's table so we can expedite its sale. The auctioneer will announce the item, describe it using the description on the tag, and begin at the price at the minimum bid filled out on the tag. Whoever is bidding MUST HOLD UP THEIR BIDDER CARD through the auction until they either win the item or are out due to price. PAY ATTENTION TO THE DESCRIPTION. Depending on item quantity, we may not have the time to stop the auction while potential buyers look at the item. We will do our best to describe the item fairly.
Items bought will be stockpiled in store under the bidder's number until checkout. Unsold items from that bidder will also be put in their pile.
ProTip: Make sure to write down what you buy and price so you can confirm the number at cash out.

Post Auction:
We will have two times to cash out:
Once during a mid-way break. (Determined by amount of items left), and once at the end. At that time, we will need participants to line up and provide their bidder number. We will confirm the amount spent, the amount sold, and have you check out. You must pay for whatever you have bought. What you have sold can either be given as store credit, or 50% of the value in cash. NOTE: you CANNOT use the store credit generated from the auction for your purchases at the auction.
